UEC Management Board meeting - 24.10.09 Regensdorf
UEC Management Board meeting took place on Saturday, 24th October 2009 in Regensdorf-Zurich. Below please find information on the main issues that were discussed at the meeting and decision taken by the members of UEC Management Board.
PRESENT: W.Walkiewicz, D. Baal, M. Lepajoe, Th. Tzimas, M. Concannon, A. Muraviev, C. Ramos Fernandez, R. Hofer, K. Dziadowiec.
FINANCES: The following European Federations have not paid the UEC membership fees for 2009: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnoia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldavia, Russia, Serbia, Turkey.
A reminder will be sent to each of the above Federations. The above Federations are kindly asked to settle their financial obligations.

EUROPEAN ELITE ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS:
UEC Management Board decided to make a request to the UCI regarding the right to organize European Elite Road Championships (men and women) starting from 2011. The event would be hold for national teams with all riders , without the riders of UCI Pro Tour Teams.
EUROPEAN TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010:
WE STILL HAVE NO ORGANISER FOR U-23 and Juniors EUROPEAN TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010. IF THERE IS ANY ORGANISER INTERESTED IN THIS EVENT PLEASE CONTACT ROLAND HOFER - uec@bluewin.ch.
STATUTES:
UEC Management Board members are asked to send any modifications of the UEC statute by the end of November 2009. The final, agreed version of the statute will be presented for approval of UEC Congress in March in Turkey. Congress will take place 6-7.03.2010 at the Hotel Hedef Resort in Alanya (TUR). The Turkish Federation will organize the transport for the delegates from the Antalya Airport and back and will take over the accommodation costs for 2 delegates of each federation for 2 nights.
TRACK PROGRAMME OLYMPIC GAMES 2012 LONDON:
Following request of the IOC, UCI will probably change the programme for the track competition. The new programme is planned for 5 disciplines men and 5 disciplines women. If UCI accepts this request, UEC will adapt the programme of European Track Championships accordingly.
REQUEST FROM LUXEMBURG:
Luxemburg Federation asked UEC to request the UCI to contribute towards the costs of the European Federations for the World Championships. A letter to UCI will be sent.
REQUEST FROM GREEK FEDERATION:
Mr. D. Konstandopoulos is no longer member of Greek Technical Committee therefore, on request of Greek Federation Mr. D. Konstandopoulos is excluded from UEC Track Commission. President of UEC Track Commission, Mr. Enrico Della Casa is supposed to present one or two candidates who could replace Mr. Konstandopoulos.
REQUEST FROM AUSTRIAN FEDERATION:
Austrian Federation and Bikeclub stabil Stattegg, organizer of the European MTB Marathon Masters Championships, propos es to organise youth European MTB games from 2011. UEC Management Board is in favour of this project and MTB Comission is charged with drawing up a programme.
MASTERS TRACK CYCLING:
UEC Management Board agrees to give medals and jerseys in all categories in the European Masters Track Championships, even if the number of participants is very small.
NEXT MEETING OF UEC Management Board will take place on Friday, 5th March 2010 in Alanya (TUR).
In 2010 UEC celebrates its 20th anniversary!
