European Elite Road Championships!

UEC makes another attempt to obtain the right to organize European Elite Road Championships from 2011. Following many requests from different European Cycling Federations President Walkiewicz turned to Pat McQuaid, President of UCI, with a request to include a voting over this proposal into the agenda of next UCI Management Board meeting. Europe is the only continent that has no right to organize its continental Elite road championships. It is high time to put an end to discrimination of Europe.

In recent weeks we face broad discussion on the change in Olympic track programme 2012. Many European Cycling Federations find the way of implementing changes wrong. With voices from all over Europe (Russia, Italy, Belgium and others) UEC decided to react. We are aware that there is no escape from these changes, we only suggest another way of its implementation. We are looking forward to find a solution to this situation.
