5-8-2011 Cross-Country Team Relay: Gold for France At 2 pm started European Championship in MTB Cross-Country in Dohnany, Slovakia. On the start line was prepared 15 teams. Under rules every country can put to the team one elite man and woman, one racer U-23 and one junior. It´s just on tactics who will run which section.

After the first run was on the first position Italy, but Marco Aurelio Fontana was just a second faster than Dutch Van Houts Rudi. On third position changed Czechs.

In second run Italy made even better, but on the second position came Swiss, junior Forster show briliant performance. Nederlands fall on third, Czech on fourth.

In third section Italy still defended their leading, Swiss were second, but France thanks junior Julie Bresset came on third.

At the last run was clear, it will be just between Swiss and France, becase they send their best racer just now. And it was absolutely dramatic finish. Just on the finish line we knew, who win the race. Maxim Marotte from France was better than Swiss Martin Gujan. Eva Lechner from Italy came on third place.
