20-7-2010 European Championship - DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKE 2010 From August 4 to 7, 2010, Hafjell will host the European Mountain Bike Downhill Championships for junior and elite categories. Additionally, we will also host the year classes 13-14, 15-16 categories championships.

In the International Cycling Union (UCI) system, the European Championships are ranked as the fourth most important event after the Olympic Games, World Championships and the World Cup. Since Downhill is a non-Olympic discipline, it is ranked as the third highest level of racing. UCI ranking points are awarded at the race.

National teams wearing national jerseys will be taking part in junior and elite categories of the European Championships. Registration is made exclusively through National Federations to UEC.

UEC is a continental confederation of the UCI, currently uniting 48 countries.

UEC sanctioned European Mountain Bike Championships are held since 1994.
