UEC President, Wojciech Walkiewicz, was hosted by the Italian Cycling Federation and Italian Olympic Committee and participated in the press conference on July 20th in Rome.

The main subject of the conference was cooperation and relation between UEC and Italian Cycling Federation. Giovanni Petrucci, President of the Italian Olympic Committee, Renato di Rocco, President of Italian Cycling Federation, Paulo Bettini, well know rider and Walkiewicz discussed also the organisation of the World Championships in Firenze in 2013. The journalists were presented with the logo of the event.

- I am really happy that the World Road Championships are coming back to Italy – country with great cycling tradition – says Walkiewicz.
