23-2-2011 New sponsor of European Cycling Union! European Cycling Union Has obtained new sponsor. Itera Group is a well known Russian corporation. After negotiations, UEC President, Wojciech Walkiewicz, and the Chairman of Board of Directors ITERA Oil and Gas Company Ltd. and the President of Russian Cycling Federation in one person, Igor Viktorovich Makarov, have signed a contract for 2011. There is possibility to prolong the contract for next years.

- I am really happy that we managed to launch cooperation with Itera which is a revered company all over the world - says Walkiewicz, UEC President. - This is the first sponsorship contract for UEC and I count that at the same time first step towards long term cooperation. Of course, it depends on both sides – concludes Walkiewicz.

ITERA Group
ITERA was established in 1992. It has been involved in marketing natural gas since 1994. ITERA is a private natural gas company in the CIS and the Baltic States that is experienced in exports of natural gas.

Production of Gas
ITERA has been involved in production of natural gas in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region (YaNAO) in Western Siberia (Russia) since 1998. The Company has invested over $1 billion in the gas industry.

ITERA is the first private company to put gas fields into operation in the Far North of Russia: Gubkinskoye gas field (reserves of 399 BCM) in 1999, gas deposit (reserves are 407 BCM) of Vostochno-Tarkosalinskoye field in 2001), and Beregovoye (reserves are 325 BCM) in 2003.

The total of over 100 BCM of natural gas has been produced by ITERA in its fields in Yamalo-Nentskiy autonomous region.
