7-11-2010 Omnium: Szarakova wins scratch race Belarusian Tatsiana Szarakova won the the sratch race, which was the fifth discipline of women’s omnium. The lead, before the final race, has been kept by Spanish Leire Olaberrii Dorronsoro. The competition takes place at the European Elite Track Championships – Warszawa/Pruszkow 2010.

Before tha last discipline, which will be the 500 metres time trial, a situation is very interesting, as Olaberrii Dorronsoro has now an advantage of only 2 points over Szarakova. Jarmila Machacova of the Czech Republic is the third, and there are three more contestants who still have a chance in the rivalry with 4 points fewer than the leader’s rating.
